Our status

The Grameen Crédit Agricole Microcredit Foundation is a foundation established under Luxembourg law.

It is governed by the amended law of 21 April 1928 concerning not-for-profit associations and foundations. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Its statutes were approved by grand-ducal decree dated 27 September 2008. Its headquarters are located at 5 Allée Scheffer, L-2520, Luxembourg.

Its founders are Crédit Agricole SA and Grameen Trust.

Funding for Grameen Crédit Agricole Microcredit Foundation

In 2008, the Foundation received an endowment of 50 million euros from Crédit Agricole SA. This permanent endowment enables the Foundation to accomplish its mission.
