Grameen Credit Agricole Microfinance Foundation announces the signature of a partnership agreement with ABC Microfinance, operator of Babyloan.org, first europeean website of peer to peer microcredit. Babayloan.org allows net surfers from the North to finance microentrepreneurs from developping countries with small loans at zero rate.

Jean Luc Perron, Managing Director of Grameen Credit Agricole Microfinance Foundation, signed on March 10, 2010 in Monaco a special partnership agreement with the monegasque government, represented by H E Mr Franck Biancheri, Foreign Affairs and Economic and International financing adviser to the Government, and Credit Foncier de Monaco, major bank of the Pincipalty, represented by its Chairman, Gilles Martinengo.
The agreement’s purpose is for the three partners to jointly propose financing and technical assistance to Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and to participate to social businesse projects in emerging countries, with a focus on Africa.
The Credit Foncier de Monaco, a subsidiary of Credit Agricole Group, will grant for free, some of his volunteer associates to the Grameen Credit Agricole Microfinance Foundation for technical assistance missions. Extra fees generated by these missions will be supported by the Foundation and the Direction of International cooperation in Monaco.
Just before the signature of this agreement, a first mission was led in Mali / Africa, for Miselini, a partner MFI of Grameen Credit Agricole Microfinance Foundation. Besides, the partners are studying other means or financing vehicles to support microfinance and social business.
